Sustainable Initiatives
The Department of Management Studies, SSIPMT, Raipur, has strengthened its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility through partnership & MoU with Energy Swaraj Foundation and Sustainable India, in alignment with CSR initiatives. As part of this collaboration, two students have been selected as FEM Ambassadors, reflecting the institution’s focus on student engagement in environmental leadership. All related activities are being conducted under the aegis of the PIES Club, fostering awareness, responsibility, and active participation in sustainable development initiatives.A milestone is achieved in building climate conscious youth as 600 students have completed energy literacy training in the year 2025-26+ and 700 in 2024-25

FinNxt - Redefining NxtGen Business
The Department of Management Studies, SSIPMT, Raipur organizes FinNXT, a dynamic fintech-focused event designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and emerging financial technologies. The event aims to enhance students’ understanding of the rapidly evolving fintech landscape while encouraging analytical thinking, innovation, and strategic decision-making.
FinNXT features a blend of insightful and competitive activities, including a keynote session by industry experts, a panel discussion on contemporary fintech trends, a finance quiz, a business plan competition, and a trading contest. Pyramid: A Triangular Quest
A two-day, State level competition that unfolds fun filled and brainstorming events for undergraduates and postgraduate students.
The 2 - day event comprises of competitive activities that are highly thought provoking along with high voltage cultural events at the end of the day. Participants from various Institutes and B-Schools all over the state participate to test their might and clout in this Mega event.
La-Fiesta – Management Fest
La-Fiesta focuses on encouraging innovation, creativity, and healthy competition among MBA students. The fest provides a vibrant platform for participants to demonstrate their managerial abilities while showcasing their talents.
Throughout the fest, students participate in a range of carefully designed events that combines management skills with creative expression. The highlights of the fest includes Best Out of Waste, Quiz-O-Mania, Clash of Creators Competition), Case Study Competition, 90’s Rewind Runway, and MBA Got Talent—each event offering participants an opportunity to explore their strengths and display their potential. - Managerial Skill Development Workshop- The department in association with E-Cell & T&P cell conducted Two- Days’ workshop for the students of Engineering and Management. - Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) conducted a 3-day workshop for MBA students on securities market in their Raipur Local Office. Mr. U. Ramesh (Manager, SEBI) held interactive sessions on SEBI’s role in streamlining the functioning of securities market. (September 2017)
- SSPS Workshop: Dr. Teena Bagga (Professor, Amity Business School) held a workshop at SSIPMT, Raipur’s campus on basic and advanced statistical analysis by SPSS software which has a wide use in research and business analytics. (March 2017)
- Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. conducted a 2-day comprehensive financial workshop SEAL (Student Engagement & Applied Learning) on in-depth understanding of financial markets for SSIPMT, Raipur’s students. (November 2016)
Industrial Visits
“Seeing is believing”. Visiting leading industrial and corporate setups situated across the length and breadth of the state like Monnet ISPAT, Bhilai Steel Plant, IBC24, Election Commission etc. is a deeply anchored habit. It assists in the learning process and provides a lasting impression.
MBA 1st year students visited Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Raipur. It was an enthralling experience for the students to learn how SEBI works. They also gained insight on the evolution of Stock Market and working of Mutual Funds.
Live Projects
“Tell me and I’ll forget, show me and I may remember, involve me and I’ll understand”. Live projects are a chief source of learning how to apply theory in to practice. Our understanding with retail stores, banks, NBFCs and FMCG majors have yielded rich dividends. Thereby our students have had a fresh, hands on stints at corporate like Raipur Treasure Island Pvt. Department of Management Studies recently organized the 9th version of “PYRAMID- the Triangular Quest”, since its inception in the year 2011. Like every year, the inter Institute fest received a huge response and welcomed 500+ undergraduate & postgraduate participants from various Institutes across the state. Principal Dr. Alok Jain declared the event open, which was then followed by 2 days of brainstorming, fun learning & cultural activities
MBA Syllabus
The Institute offers a two-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program affiliated to the State University, Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai. The program strictly adheres to the prescribed curriculum of the University. The syllabus for the MBA program was last updated by the Academic Council of the University in the academic year 2011-12, and further amendments havenot been made till session 2024-25. By prioritizing student needs through accessible resources and a structured elective selection process, the Departments curriculum implementation fosters improved learning outcomes and professional development.
